1.2.5 Calibration Mode
This mode is selected when the ‘S’ button is pressed for at least 10 seconds during power up.
See section 4.2 for a detailed description.
1.3 Transitions Between Normal Driving Modes
If a mode transition is detected, the APC160 automatically engages a sequence resulting in a safe stop:
· the transmission is placed in Neutral
· the service brakes are used to bring the machine to standstill
· when stopped, the parking brake is applied (vehicle speed = 0 does have a tolerance)
· the transmission remains in Neutral until the active control device (shift lever or joystick) is
cycled through Neutral
· in case the service brakes are not bringing the machine to a stop quickly enough, the parking
brake is activated while driving to assist the braking
1.4 Operation in Handler Mode
In handler mode, the APC160 takes care of the following functions
· direction change protection
· overspeeding
control
· automatic
shifting
· engine
control
1.5 Operation in Aerial Work Platform (AWP) Mode
In AWP mode, the APC160 takes care of the following functions
· Direction change protection
· Overspeeding
control
· Engine
control
· Brake
control
· Parking brake control
· Vehicle Speed Control
The machine can be operated in two ways when the AWP is attached to the boom:
· Platform Control Mode
