6. OPERATION
Before starting any of the following blast chiller or deep-
freezing cycles, ensure that the appliance is switched
on; if not, hold down button 17 for a few seconds.
Icon 16 will remain on for the whole of the time that the
appliance is working. At the end of each cycle, press
button 17 again to switch off the appliance.
Within the first 3 minutes after the start of the chosen
cycle, it is possible modify it or switch the appliance off
without a malfunction occurring.
After 5 minutes of inactivity from its being switched on,
the appliance will automatically switch off.
All the blast chiller and deep-freezing cycles indicated in
this user manual are defined based on a starting food
temperature of between 70°C and 90°C.
At the end of any cycle it is possible to keep the product in the
appliance for longer; simply by not opening the door
immediately; icons no. 10, no. 11 and no. 12 will flash.
USING THE CORE PROBE: the core probe is a device which
can be found within the blast chiller refrigerator and is used for
reading the temperature at the centre of the products which
are to be rapidly chilled or frozen. Pay attention in handling the
probe as it is sharp. When being used, the probe must be slid
into the food to be chilled/frozen before the cycle begins. To
guarantee that the probe works correctly in the blast
chiller and deep-freezing cycle, insert it as in the
drawing below, inserting the tip right into the centre of
the product while being careful that it does not come
out of the other side.
