Chapter 4 - FUNCTIONING - TELEVISION
This chapter tells you how to use your television in
TELEVISION mode. This chapter contains no infor-
mation on how to use the television’s many gra-
phic monitor functions.
For information on these functions see Chapter 5
FUNCTIONING - GRAPHIC MONITOR MODE.
4.1
THE REMOTE CONTROL
The remote contr
ol uses infra-red light to send signals to the televi-
sion. Avoid
obstacles between the remote contr
ol and the infra-red
receiver on the television (
[26] Fig. 5).
Obstacles could prevent the
remote contr
ol from operating ef
fectively.

the batteries in the battery compartment on the rear of the r

Each single key on the remote has mor
e than one function depen-
ding on the environment the television is working in.
By environment we mean
‘what is on the screen at a given
moment’; on the basis of this concept we identify:
- a TV mode(image being transmitted by a station or exter
nal
appliance);
- an OSD mode(image of the OSD menus) and lastly
- a TXT mode
(T eletext image).
