5.18.4 Configurati on
The DVR is configured by On Screen Menu. Refer to the corresponding manual for an explanation of the
various configuration items.
The DVR should be configured for RS485 type communication, with an appropriate identification address and
baud rate.
5.18.4.1 OSM Config uration
Connect the DVR directly to the keyboard and a monitor to the MONITOR 1 output.
- starts DVR configuration.
The DVR shows the on screen menu; the keyboard display indicates the mode change:

5.18.5 Special SEA RCH menu
- enters the special SEARCH menu

Warning: if the DVR stays in SEARCH mode after exiting the menu, press STOP ( 6# ) to return to
normal mode.
5.18.6 Special CO PY menu
-* enters the special COPY menu
 cancels the copy operation and deletes any on screen messages
 exits the menu
Warning: the copy operation or, when appropriate, its cancellation by pressing  , should be completed
before exiting the menu

5.18.7 Dedicated F unctions
As well as the normal procedure for selecting input videos, the SONY DVR is provided with numerous other
functions that are activated by pressing key combinations corresponding to the keys on the DVR’s local keypad.
The

key is used to change the number of the unit responding to the command.
