PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE SOLUTION
The barbecue doesn’t light No gas Check that the shut-off valve is open (ON)
Gas cylinder empty - refill or change the
cylinder
The ignition system is not
working Check the battery - you should hear a
clicking sound when you press the knob
Replace the battery
Light the barbecue manually
Gas tap regulated too high Clean and delicately dry the electrode
making sure that its position is correct
Excessive smoke from the
cooking surface Gas valve set too high Lower the gas or turn off some of the
burners
Odour of gas
DON NOT TRY TO LIGHT THE
APPLIANCE Gas leak Close the gas with the shut-off valves
Check for leaks, tighten the fittings
If the problem persists, call the Service
