6. FM TUNER OPERATION
Specific functions of the pushbuttons/controls:
POWER
Switches the unit ON and OFF.
MEMORY
Press this button to activate memory mode. The LCD displays MEMO.
Press one of the memory buttons (from 1 to 10) to store the currently tuned radio station.
UP/DOWN
Press and hold these buttons for more than 0.5 seconds to enter automatic search mode.
If they are held pressed for less than 0.5 seconds, the radio stations will be searched manually.

Problem Possible solution
The display is not activated when the power
switch is ON. • Make sure that the unit is properly plugged in.
• Make sure the fuse is not blown.
No sound. • Make sure the cables are all connected correctly.
Intermittent audio output, audio buzz or
distorted audio. • Make sure the power supply has the correct voltage.
The CD display is off. • Make sure the CD power switch is ON.
No output signal from the CD. • Make sure the CD is clean and free from scratches.
The radio output signal is distorted, too low or
shows interference. • Make sure the antenna is properly connected.
• Make sure the antenna is positioned to receive the best
signal.
• Make sure the antenna is suited to receive the desired
station.
Intermittent radio output , buzz or distorted
radio signal. • This is often due to interference with neon lights, lamps,
engines or electric devices.
