Mains lead
Wnen fitting 3 mam$ plug to the mams tead proceed as follows
The Wires in the mams lead are coloured m accordance with the fol­
lowing code 8iue=Neutral, 6rown=bve
These co’ours may not correspond with the co'our markings identi­
fying the terminals m your plug, so proceed as follow'S
Conrect the Brown W'ire to the terminal marked Lor co'oured Red
Connect the Blue wire to the terminal marked N or coloured Black
Oo not connect either wire to the earth terminal m the plug, marked
6 or ‘•Of coiourcdgreen or green and yei'ow
Note: Th'S apparatus must be protected bv a 3 Amp Fuse if a 13
Amp p'ug IS used or, if any other p>'pe of plug i$ used, by a 5 Amp
Fuse Cither in the plug or adapter or at the distribution board if m
doubt consult a qualified eiectncan

ALIMENTAZIONE
• Set the RADIO/TAPE selector to TAPE/OFF.
• Press STOP/EJECTBand insert a recorded cassette.
• For fast winding, press •« or To stop, press STOP ■ .
• Adjust the sound with the controls VOLUME and DBB
BASS.
• You may connect stereo headphones with 3.5 mm plug
to the socket PHONES 0. The loudspeakers are then muted.
• Press PLAY ◄ and playback will start.
• To stop, press STOP/EJECT ■ . The set is then switched
off. On pressing again, the cassette holder will open.
When the end of the tape is reached, the recorder buttons
are released.
To ensure a good recording and playback quality, clean the

indicated in fig. 6 after every 50 hours of
operation or, on average, once a month
• Open the cassette holder by pressing STOP/EJECT ■ .
• Use a cotton bud slightly moistened with alcohol or a
special head cleaning fluid.
• Press PLAY ◄ and clean the rubber pressure roller ® (fig. 6).
• Then press PAUSE II and clean the capstan © and the
magnetic heads 0©
• After cleaning, press STOP/EJECT«,
Cleaning of the magnetic heads ® © can also be done by
playing the cleaning cassette SBC 114 through once.
- Do not expose the set, batteries and cassettes to rain,
moisture, sand, or to excessive heat e.g. from heating equip­
ment or in motor cars parked in the sun.
The type plate is located on the base of the set.
This product complies with the radio interference require­
ments of the European Community.
Alimentazione a pile
• Aprite il vano pile (fig. 2) ed inserite corno indicato sei pile
del tipo R20, UM1 o D.
• La tensione delle pile è in regola finché l'indicatore DI­
RECTION SI illumina durante la ricezione radio
• Togliete le pile se sono esaurite o se non intendete usarlo
per un lungo periodo
L'alimentazione da pile viene esclusa quando l’apparecchio
viene collegato alla rete Se desiderate l'alimentazione da
pile, togliere la spina dalla presa MAINS.
Alimentazione da rete
• Controllate che il voltaggio indicato sulla matricola (sul
fondo dell’apparecchio) corrisponda a quello della rete loca­
le Se non corrisponde, rivolgetevi al rivenditore o Servizio
Assistenza,
Se l'apparecchio è provvisto di un selettore tensione VOL­
TAGE (fig. 31 mettete questo selettore sulla tensione locale
• Collegate il cavo di rete alla presa MAlfJS (fig 3Ì e ad una
presa di rete, l'alimentazione a rete è così attivata
• Per disattivare completamente l’alimentazione a rete sfi­
late la spina dalla presa di rete
RICEZIONE RADIO
• Mettete il selettore RADIO/TAPE su RADIO
• Regolate il suono con i controlli VOLUME e DBB BASS
• Potete collegare una cuffia stereo con spina 3,6 mm alla
uscita PHONES fi Gli altoparlanti vengono così esclusi
• Selezionate la gamma d'onda con il selettore BAND
• Sintonizzate la stazione con la manopola TUNING
(SVI'e LWnon su tutti i modelli)
- Per FM estraete l'antenna telescopica completamente
Per migliorare la ricezione, inclinate ed orientate l'antenna
Quando li segnale FM risulta troppo forte (m prossimità di
un'emittente) fate rientrare l'antenna
- Per te onde medie (AM/MW) e lunghe (LW), l'apparecchio
è munito di un'antenna incorporata rendendo superfluo
l’uso dell'antenna telescopica. Per migliorare la ricezione,
orientate l'antenna girando l'apparecchio stesso
- Per le onde corte (SW), estraete l'antenna telescopica e
posizionatela verticalmente Per migliorare la ricezione, va­
riate la lunghezza dell'antenna
• Quando FM STEREO ■• * si illumina, state ricevendo una
stazione stereo in FM. Un rumore di fondo a causa di un
segnate FM particolarmente debole può essere soppresso
spostando il selettore BAND in posizione FM MONO FM
STEREO » Si spegnerà cosi e la riproduzione (e la registra­
zione) sarà mono.
• L’apparecchio viene spento se il selettore RADIO/TAPE e
in posizione TAPE/OFF ed i tasti del registratore non sono
premuti.
