INSERTING THE BATTERY
The battery section e is found under the appliance, therefore:
- Tip the appliance upside down Remove the battery section lid as indicated in
[Fig. A]. Insert and connect the batteries making sure
the poles are facing in the right direction. Click the lid shut.
Important:
- Only use 1.5 Volt AAA alkaline batteries
REPLACING THE BATTERY
Replace the battery when "Lo" is indicated on the display d or when the scales clearly weigh incorrectly.

Operation
- Insert the batteries and place the scales on a perfectly horizontal and stable surface.
- Press the ON/OFF button c; 8888 will be indicated on the display d.
- When ‘0’ is displayed, the scales are ready to be used.
SWITCHING OFF
When empty, the scales will switch off automatically after 60 seconds. It is also possible to switch off the scales manually at any time,
pressing the ON/OFF button c for a couple of seconds.
TARE FUNCTION
When using a recipient on the scales or weighing different ingredients in a recipe that are added to the same recipient, press button b
'Tare/g/oz' before adding each ingredient: the scales will reset to zero and only weigh the newly added ingredient.
This procedure can be repeated until the maximum capacity of the scales is reached. If the weight exceed the maximum capacity of 5
Kg on the display d, the ‘O-Ld’ symbol will appear.
CHOOSING THE WEIGHT UNIT (Kg/g; lb/oz)
Warning:
- These operations are only necessary if it is necessary to change the weight unit, by default the scales will maintain its memory
in grams.
To select the weight unit, press button c ON/OFF to switch the scales on. The display d will indicate ‘8888’ and then ‘0’. When the
scales are switched on they always show the setting in grams "g" .
When the scales are still empty with a ‘0’ value, press button b “tare/g/oz” to select the ‘oz’ unit option. Press again to convert back to
grams.
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
To contribute in protecting the environment, do not dispose of the appliance in domestic refuse but take it to an official
collection centre.
Warning:
Do not dispose of the batteries in domestic refuse: they have to be disposed of separately.
Dispose of the batteries in a specific collection centre. Remove the batteries from the appliance.
For information on disposal, please contact your specialized dealer or local authorities.
BATTERY REMOVAL
- Open the lid of the battery compartment and remove it.
